The best broadband deals this March
1. Plusnet: Great prices from our FAVOURITE provider
In the Expert Reviews Best Broadband Awards 2023, Plusnet once again bagged the coveted Overall Winner award: a truly impressive 78% of survey respondents said that they would recommend the service to their friends or family. Plusnet also scooped the Best Customer Service, Best Contact Centre and Most Reliable gongs, as well as finishing second in the Best Value category. Phew!
Want to take the plunge? Well, you can get full-fibre, 74Mbits/sec broadband for as little as £27/mth on a two-year contract – with absolutely nothing to pay upfront. If you need more browsing oomph, you can step up to an estimated download speed of 145Mbits/sec for only £3 extra at £30/mth or even 500Mbits/sec for £40/mth. There really is a plan for everyone, but bear in mind that the deals and packages available will depend on your location.

2. Now Broadband: INCREDIBLE-value plans and streaming extras
Now Broadband was an ISP dark horse for a couple of years, but it's now burst into the sunlight and even scooped second place in the Expert Reviews Best Broadband Awards 2023. Why? Although it doesn't offer the blisteringly fast speeds of its parent company Sky, Now Broadband's plans are exceedingly well-priced and its service is reliable. Even better, you can get huge reductions on Now's streaming packages – such as all of the Sky Sports channels for £24/mth for a year, rather than the usual £35/mth.
Currently, the stand-out deal is an average download speed of 63Mbits/sec for just £22/mth on a one-year contract, with no activation fee to pay (although there is a £5 postage charge). That's the price you'd also pay for 36Mbits/sec, making it an unmissable saving.

3. Virgin Media: Get a STUNNING saving for six months
When it comes to the swiftest download speeds, Virgin Media is at the top of our list. And in the provider’s current sale, you can grab some extraordinary discounts on a range of broadband plans and bundles.
For instance, Virgin’s M350 fibre broadband plan, with speeds of 362Mbits/sec, will cost you a jaw-dropping £21/mth for the first six months of a two-year contract. The price will then rise to £39/mth, meaning you'll be saving a whopping £108 over the course of the plan. And, if that's still not enough bandwidth, you can step up to 516Mbits/sec for a bonkers £27/mth for the first six months of a two-year plan (then £45/mth).
Don't forget that Virgin Media also offers eye-catching bundles, which you can find on our separate roundup of the best broadband and TV deals.

4. BT: Get a truly ENORMOUS discount on superfast broadband
BT is another solid provider, picking up a silver medal in the Best Speed award in the Expert Reviews Best Broadband Awards, behind Virgin Media. In the stalwart ISP's sale, you can pick up spectacular Reward Cards that can be spent on any website that supports Mastercard – which is pretty much all of them – as well as a spectacular £336 saving on the 500Mbits/sec plan.
For instance, BT’s Fibre 2 package – with top speeds of 74Mbits/sec – costs £34/mth on a two-year plan and comes complete with a £100 Reward Card. And no, that's not a typo. What’s more, you’ll pay nothing upfront and get a free, month-long upgrade to 500Mbits/sec. And, as you can see below, there are more brilliant BT deals where that one came from.

5. Three: Get three FREE months of 5G broadband

If want to get set up as quickly and easily as possible, this attention-grabbing deal from Three will appeal: you get unlimited 5G data for free for the first three months of a two-year contract. The price will then rise to £20 for the remaining 21 months, but you're still saving £60 overall. Speed-wise, you'll likely get around 150Mbits/sec, depending on the strength of the signal in your home. There's no upfront fee and you don't have to wait for an engineer or for the company to connect you – simply plug in the 5G Hub to start browsing.
Or, if you're not covered by 5G yet, you can go for Three's stellar 4G plan: unlimited 4G data for diddly-squat for the first six months of a two-year contract. Again, there's nothing to pay upfront.

6. Cuckoo: Sign up for a ONE-MONTH broadband plan
Now here's something a bit different: reasonably priced, one-month broadband contracts from the new(ish) player Cuckoo. We haven't had a chance to review the feathered internet service provider yet, but it's registering some excellent reviews online and has scooped a couple of prestigious customer service awards to boot. Its heart is in the right place too, with 1% going of your bill going to charities that are trying to spread the internet as far and wide as possible.
So why opt for a one-month broadband plan? In these difficult financial times, signing up for a long 24-month or even 36-month contract can seem daunting. Cuckoo, on the other hand, gives you the flexibility to cancel whenever you want and, seeing as you can pick up 67Mbits/sec for £30/mth on a rolling plan (£60 upfront), massively undercuts the competition. To put that in perspective, you'd pay 30/mth for 50Mbits/sec from BT – on a two-year contract. Wow.
