We’ve collected some brilliant Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deals before the flexible handset hits shelves on 26 August

It’s not being sent out until 26 August, but that doesn’t mean you can’t already scoop a stunning preorder deal for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 from one of the UK’s major networks. And with heaps of 5G data, phenomenal hardware goodies and a full year of Disney Plus on offer, it’s well worth checking them out.

We’ve only had a short amount of time with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and our first impressions were positive – which is a relief given how impressed we were by its superb, four-star predecessor, the Fold 3. Granted, the tweaks are subtle, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In the words of our hands-on review: “last year’s phone set the formula, and this year’s model is simply cementing things with a handful of minor quality of life improvements – all of which makes the phone more well-rounded than ever”.

So what are the improvements? It’s a given that the unrivalled folding design is still in place, but Samsung has trimmed 8g off its weight and slimmed down the hinge. We didn’t notice much difference in use, though, and were much more taken with the better selfie camera underneath the 7.6in, 120Hz inner screen. The Fold 4 comes in a choice of three colours: Phantom Black, Graygreen, Beige and Burgundy (the latter only when you order from Samsung's site).

The biggest differences are to be found inside, however. The Fold 4 comes with a new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which should mean a significant performance uptick – watch this space for our in-depth benchmarks. Depending on how much you want to spend, there’s also a choice of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of internal storage, joined by 12GB of RAM.

And that, aside from some new productivity features involving the S Pen and a few minor camera enhancements, is about it. Whether it all adds up to another five-star handset is a question for our full, in-depth review, which we’ll be publishing very soon. Already know that you want to take the plunge? Read on to save money and nab extras with our list of the best preorder Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deals.

The best preorder Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deals

1. Samsung: The best SIM-free Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal

Just want the phone alone? This is the preorder Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal for you: the 256GB version of the smartphone in a choice of four colours for £1,649 direct from the manufacturer. As a bonus, you’ll get a whole free year of Disney Plus to enjoy the latest Star Wars series, Pixar tear-jerkers and Marvel movies. That would usually set you back £80.

And the company hasn't finished there: it's also throwing in a Note pack worth £90 (which includes an S Pen, a phone case and the charger), a year of Samsung Care+ insurance worth £109 and 25% off other selected Samsung products. Phew!

If you’re concerned that 256GB won’t be enough room for your photos, music and streaming downloads, you can step up to the 512GB model for an additional £120 (£1,769) or 1TB for £2,019.

If you prefer to buy your smartphones SIM-free and then find a monthly data tariff separately, this Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal is perfect. And, once you’ve picked it up, why not peruse our roundups of the best SIM-only deals and the best PAYG deals?

2. Virgin Mobile: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal with no upfront cost

The problem with most of the current preorder Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deals is that they come with stratospheric upfront fees – as is usually the case with high-end smartphones. That doesn’t apply to this Virgin Mobile offer, though: the 256GB version comes with 100GB of 5G data for £90/mth on a two-year plan, with nothing to pay upfront. And, as a sweetener, you’ll also get a free year of Disney Plus, which would normally cost £80.

That’s hardly cheap, but our calculations show that you’ll be saving a respectable £49 by going with this deal, compared to if you bought the constituent parts separately.

As for Virgin Mobile, we gave it three stars out of five in our latest review, praising its solid performance while highlighting its less than stellar customer service. Still, that’s easy to look past when you’re getting this much value for money.

Contract length: 24 months; Upfront fee: £0; Monthly cost: £90; Lifetime cost: £2,160

3. Three: The cheapest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal with unlimited data

A smartphone of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4’s quality – and price – deserves unlimited 5G data. Luckily, Three has you covered with this peach of a deal: the 256GB version with bottomless browsing for £86/mth, with £100 to pay upfront. Three is far from finished, though: customers who are new to the network will receive a £100 prepaid Mastercard to spend on whatever they like, along with 12 free months of Disney Plus (worth £80).

That tots up to a grand saving of £169 compared to if you bought the phone, SIM and Disney+ subscription separately. In our latest Three review, we were fans of the company's excellent range of plans and 5G performance, although there's room for improvement when it comes to customer service.

4. EE: The best Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 deal for extras

EE is the fastest mobile network in the UK and a worthy winner of four stars out of five in our latest review, along with a Recommended award. This all-singing, all-dancing Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 preorder deal gets you the 256GB handset with unlimited 5G-enabled data for £97/mth (£30 upfront), plus 12 free months of Disney Plus (worth £80) and two years of a Smart Benefit (worth up to £240).

The Smart Benefit can be one of the five following options:

  • A basic Netflix subscription worth £7/mth
  • An Apple Music subscription worth £10/mth
  • A BT Sport Ultimate subscription worth £10/mth
  • A Roam Abroad Pass worth £10/mth, which lets you use your allowances as usual in the EU, US, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand
  • A Video Data Pass worth £10/mth, which means you won’t eat into your data allowance by watching TV or films while you’re out and about

By our reckoning, if you went for one of the £10/mth Smart Benefits, you’d be saving a jaw-dropping £451 with this deal compared to if you bought all of the elements separately. It’s the perfect preorder offer for content crunchers who want the best of the best.
